2. Fortnite

If you don’t play Fortnite, you’ve almost certainly heard of this epic gaming phenomenon. Fortnite is a free-to-play Battle Royale game. You can play it alone, as a duo, or as part of a squad. Your goal is to survive Fortnite’s open-world environment by battling different characters.

Millions of players around the world log in to play Fortnite daily. As of May 2020, Fornite had 350 million registered users, with players spending billions of hours per month playing the game.

3. PUBG

Fortnite isn’t the only Battle Royale game to gain an international following. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, better known as PUBG, has taken the internet by storm, becoming one of the year’s most popular online games.

PUBG is a shooter that pits 100 players against each other in a battle for survival. If you want to survive this exciting game, you must outwit other players and kill all hidden enemies to come out on top.

4. Apex Legends

Another Battle Royale heavyweight, Apex Legends, was released to great fanfare in 2019. Apex Legends is arguably the best shooter out of all of the popular Battle Royale games.

Although Fortnite remains at the top of the Battle Royale gaming genre, Apex Legends has gained a loyal following. The unique abilities and designs of Apex Legends’ characters set it apart from other games. Plus, it’s a first-person shooter, which appeals to gamers who love precision shooting and gun skills.

5. Among Us

Although the Battle Royale genre dominates iGaming trends, Among Us is an excellent iGaming option for anyone looking for a change of pace. From YouTubers to TikTokers and streamers, everyone seems to be playing this game.

Created in 2018, Among Us takes place on a spaceship. It’s a multiplayer game played by between four and ten players. Each player has a role—crewmate or impostor. It’s a game of survival where you have to avoid being killed by the impostors or being voted off the ship.

6. League of Legends

If you love epic battles and team-based gameplay, League of Legends is probably high on your list of online games. League of Legends got its start in 2009 and has remained a mainstay of the gaming industry.

Your objective when playing this game is to destroy the enemy base known as the nexus. The game is so popular there’s an annual world championship where the best teams show off their skills.

 7. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Team-based gameplay is popular within the gaming genre, and Counter-Strike delivers some of the best team-based gameplay online. First released in 2012, Global Offensive is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series.

It’s a multiplayer first-person shooter where two teams—terrorists and counter-terrorists—battle it out in different objective-based game modes. The game is full of action, which explains why it continues to top the gaming charts after almost a decade.

Conclusion:

In summary, the iGaming sector showcases a dynamic landscape with constantly evolving trends. These seven trending games reflect the industry’s diversity and innovation, catering to a wide range of player preferences and ensuring continued excitement and engagement in the online gaming community.
