Nintendo has also declared a demo event online of its new racing game, Kirby Air Riders. It will occur a few weeks before its release on Switch 2 on November 20 early the next month.
The host of this hour-long direct Kirby Air Riders director, Masahiro Sakurai, concluded his presentation with the information about the event, which Nintendo is calling a Global Test Ride. Players will also be able to jump into Kirby Air Riders on several occasions, but you will have to be a Nintendo Switch Online member to enjoy this game.
This is where the Kirby Air Riders Online demo event will be held:
November 8: 12 a.m to 6 a.m. PT, 4 p.m to 10 p.m. PT
November 9: 7 a.m to 1 p.m. PT
November 15: 12 a.m to 6 a.m. PT, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. PT
November 16: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT
Concerning the expectations on the Global Test Ride, Sakurai did not talk about anything particular. Kirby Air Riders, however, has a variety of modes which include City Trial, Air Riders etc. Next month we will have to check what we can all get our hands on during the demo event.
Lessons, Air Riders, and City Trial are available to the players during the Global Test Ride event. In the case of Air ride, the courses that will be playable will include Florida Fields, Waveflow Waters and Mount Amberfalls. In a paddock, the players are also able to jump into a room where they are able to invite their friends to a City Trial or play with others across the whole world. The maximum number of people that can be accommodated on the paddock will be 16 in the Global Test Ride and 32 in the retail version.
Nintendo eShop is allowed to receive the Global Test Ride software starting in the afternoon on Friday, Nov. 7. Lessons can be played even prior to the Global Test Ride timings or during the off-peak.
Any Nintendo Switch Online (sold individually) membership or free Nintendo Switch Online trial and Nintendo Account needed regarding specific modes. Air Ride modes and lessons can be played without a Nintendo Switch online membership.
Customers who have pre-ordered the Kirby Air Riders digital version on Nintendo eShop will be provided with an in-game hat of which they can wear them at the Global Test Ride event. The hat is impossible to carry to the full game.
